Whether you are brand new to the church thing or you’ve been around church for a while, we want to say welcome! Our goal at Lifeway is to create environments and experiences where you can encounter God in the midst of your life. When you come to Lifeway on a weekend, our aim is that you would be inspired by the music, encouraged by the message, welcomed by our amazing community, and reminded that God’s grace is here!
Lifeway Fellowship has a rich legacy of faith and community that began in April of 1956, when we first opened our doors as Olsen Park Baptist Church. Under the faithful leadership of our founding pastor, Jack Sisemore, the church flourished for 27 years, laying a strong foundation built on God’s Word. D.M. Newton then guided the congregation for the next 9 years, followed by Randy Davis, who faithfully shepherded Lifeway for three decades, leading through seasons of growth and transformation.
During the summer of 2001, our church embraced a new name—Lifeway Fellowship Baptist Church—a reflection of our desire to walk together in the way, the truth, and the life of Christ. From generation to generation, God has been faithful, and we look forward with anticipation to all He will continue to do in and through our church family.
In January 2022, Pastor Dallas Stringer was called to lead Lifeway into a new chapter of ministry—continuing our mission to reach people with the love and truth of Jesus Christ. Then, in December 2024, we joyfully welcomed Pastor Kevin Oakley and a new staff to the team, further strengthening our leadership and vision for the future.
